I thought my eggplants were a lost cause at the beginning of the season. They were started inside and looked beautiful...until the transplant. No, they didn't struggle to acclimate, I had been diligent in my hardening-off process. It was, and still is, the flea beetles. 😑 I tried to give them a break by applying a rosemary oil based herbal pest repellent and obviously didn't dilute it enough because it scorched my plants. ALL of the leaves were toast. Burnt toast. It was so sad and I had zero hope of recovery, but here we are. Both plants have made an epic comeback and are now putting on healthy baby eggplants. Yet again, I find myself silently apologizing to Mother Nature for ever doubting her capabilities. 🙏🏼🌱
